BeiDou, GLONASS & Galileo Time Converter
Each satellite navigation system runs its own time scale: BeiDou (BDT, since 2006-01-01), GLONASS (GLONASS time since 1996, linked to UTC+3), and Galileo (GST, since 1999-08-22, aligned to TAI). Interoperability requires converting between them.
This converter renders your date-time in each GNSS system time — week counts, seconds, and the offset from UTC — for receiver development and test vectors.

When to Use BeiDou, GLONASS & Galileo Time
GNSS receiver development
Generate BeiDou week/TOW and Galileo GST values as test vectors for multi-constellation receivers.
PVT algorithm testing
Convert UTC to each system time when validating position/velocity/time solutions across constellations.
Time offset studies
Compute BDT/GST offsets from UTC for interoperability analysis.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is BeiDou time (BDT)?
Continuous time since 2006-01-01 00:00:00 UTC, counting weeks and seconds. BDT = UTC + 4 s (2026), ignoring leap seconds.
What is GLONASS time?
Based on UTC+3 (Moscow) and synchronized with UTC via a 3-hour offset: GLONASS ≈ UTC + 3 h. It uses a 2-digit year and day-of-year encoding.
What is Galileo system time (GST)?
Continuous since 1999-08-22, aligned to TAI: GST = TAI. GST = UTC + 37 s (2026). It uses week numbers modulo 4096.
How are GNSS times converted to UTC?
Add the constellation's offset: GST/BDT add the current TAI−UTC difference (+37 s), GLONASS subtracts 3 h then applies leap-second corrections from the message.
